The story behind Dave's retro lookin' I Lander... you knew there had to be one!

At the 2013 NIRCON, Rick passed out many “NIRA Reprint Series” booklets. In “Sport Plans of the Model Rocketeer #2” I found IGNYX very interesting, a Nosecone only model. It looked like many drawings from the forties and fifties of streamlined space craft that land upright, then the ladders and ramps come out...
I knew I wanted to make it a lander, so I added struts and pads. It was built with my Nosecone Piston from Skeeter. In honor of all of the pods, phones and pads, I named it the I Lander.
